Top Grain leather originates from the upper layer of the hide. Through careful sanding and buffing its imperfections are gently removed to form a smooth and flawless surface that showcases the hide's naturalness with added finesse. Full grain leather is prized for its raw and unaltered essence. Retaining the hide's complete natural grain surface, it is characterized by its rugged texture and organic imperfections. With its surface marked with scars, wrinkles, and variations in grain it reflects the hide’s history. It is not sanded or buffed to remove imperfections and develops a patina over time, which is a change in colour and texture that adds to its character
Split grain leather comes from the lower layers of the hide, marking it as the budget-friendly option. Its surface lacks the pristine quality of full grain or top grain leather, presenting a softer and less robust texture.
